Conrad Drzewiecki (1926-2007), known primarily as the founder of the Polish Dance Theatre-Poznań Ballet, an outstanding dancer, choreographer and educator, took his first artistic steps on the stage of the Poznań Opera House. He was associated with the institution for nearly a decade (1964-1973) - first as a dancer, and later as the head of the ballet company.

The Print and Drawing Gallery of the National Museum of Poznań is celebrating its centenary. Stary Browar's Pop Culture Gallery in Poznań is once again surprising its audience. Its spaces are now home to works by some of the great masters of Polish painting, including Jan Matejko, Jacek Malczewski, Józef Mehoffer, Stanisław Wyspiański and Leon Chwistek, drawn from the collection of the Society of Friends of Fine Arts in Kraków. Curated by Wojtek Piotr Onak, "Beyond the Face" explores the ways the human figure has been represented in Polish art from the 19th century to the present day. The exhibition looks at different forms of human presence in art - from portrait and self-portrait to the nude and landscape, as well as memory and the traces we leave behind.
What is a herbarium? It is a collection of plants, named, described, classified, and pressed onto sheets, transformed into objects of observation, comparison, and preservation. It reveals the astonishing multitude of natural forms while simultaneously reflecting the human impulse to impose scientific order and classification upon the natural world. At the Zamek Cultural Centre, Anna Król's exhibition "The World as a Herbarium. Nature in Art from the 17th to the 21st Century" traces this ambivalence across more than four centuries.

The Museum of Fantastic Art in Warsaw and the Historical Museum in Sanok - the sole heir to Zdzisław Beksiński's estate - invite the people of Poznań to the Poznań International Fair (MTP), where, from 18 July, one of the largest exhibitions of this artist's work in history is on display. The exhibition "Beksiński in Poznań' comprises 76 original paintings by the artist, 30 photographs and 13 drawings.
Now entering its third edition, OPERA is a festival of experimental and avant-garde music that promises enticing encounters beyond the familiar, exploring sounds that resist easy categorisation. 2026 marks 60 years since the laying of the foundation stone for the construction of one of the largest urban projects of the post-war Poznan - the Rataje district. The exhibition tells Rataje's story from the perspective of the architects' vision as well as the everyday life of its inhabitants.
