A musical festival at the intersection of cultures, the indigenous speaking the language of river, the land, silence, and the contemporary, pulsating, restless, searching. It's a musical encounter between young people and the older generation, raised in the rural audio sphere before electrification, when to hear music you had to make it yourself. So you made it, eavesdropped on birds and the entire wealth of natural sounds that now fail to impress us, then translated it onto homemade violins and rural basses or organs. And this is precisely what the musicians played, improvising, and the people were transported into euphoria and ecstasy. These, in turn, were eavesdropped on by great composers outside their windows, notating them in sheet music. The October gathering will feature three workshop sessions with masters of the oldest generation and their students, but above all, evenings at the festival's clubs, where you'll be able to see firsthand how the "magical" techniques of playing rural instruments work, and what it was like for musicians to "play each other," which we now proudly replace with "jam sessions."
