Jenůfa is a ground-breaking opera among the works of Leoš Janáček, considered to be his most outstanding piece, having the status of the Czech national opera. Rarely have we been treated to it in Poznan - exactly 90 years have passed by since its only premiere. It is, therefore, with even greater appetite that we present the excellent production by Alvis Hermanis from La Monnaie / De Munt Theatre in Brussels, which had its premiere in January 2014. The show staged with real flourish and the gorgeous costumes will not conceal the drama which will happen before our eyes. Only music will bring us solace.
