This is a premiere concert which celebrates the 50th anniversary of the ECM label and launches the autumn tour of Maciej Obara Quartet.
The title of the album, Three Crowns,  draws on the highest peak of the Central Pieniny range on the Slovakian-Polish border. Still, it may be interpreted as a token of the peak form of Maciej Obara's ensemble, who reap one success after another on their musical journey which started two years ago with their debut album Unloved, released with ECM.
