The exhibition of Piotr Zawada's latest works presents a series of reliefs that balance between painting, sculpture, and sign. They do not illustrate reality, but rather reveal what remains of the image: trace, sediment, and icon.
The reliefs feature simplified faces, childlike figures, and motifs drawn from contemporary visual culture. Emojis, gestures, and signs function here as symbols of emotions and experiences increasingly experienced through images.
