EXODOS is the final installment of Przemek Kamiński's multi-year research project, which focused on the life and work of American dancer and choreographer Fred Herko (1936-1964). EXODOS is a dance concert that celebrates endings and beginnings, evoking Herko's queer, utopian spirit-the spirit of what is unfinished, too late, and not yet present. Through light, sound, and movement, performers construct kinetic images in space, imbued with Herko's neo-romantic quality, thus rewriting and reimagining his archive. Dance is the material of these images, a practice of dwelling in co-presence, sensuality, and affect.
