The spring concert of the SKOWRONKI Girls' Choir will be centered around folk music. Traditional melodies and songs are closely linked to the rhythm of the seasons. They often speak of rural life, field work, rituals, relaxation, natural phenomena, and hope for a better tomorrow. The departing winter and the awakening spring symbolize vitality, new beginnings, and the joy of awakening life. The concert will be filled with folk music, movement, dance, and the colors of the coming spring. Program will feature works by Polish composers (Rocławska-Musiałczyk, Koziej, Krutul, Mayzner) and international ones (Jekabsone, Wong, Gimon). All of the SKOWRONKI choral groups will perform, conducted by Julia Łynsza and Alicja Szeluga.
