White Lies
The London trio are coming back to Poland with a new album! Their Five is still much of a hot cake, having released on February 1st, 2019.
White Lies debuted in 2009 with To Lose My Life, whose success was nothing short of spectacular. Taking inspiration from such bands as Talking Heads and Joy Division, they developed their own style, often referred to as "cold-wave post-punk, combined with synth pop". Their unique sound won them top places among best-selling albums in the UK. The LP immediately landed in the first place in the UK Albums chart, while the group began to perform in the most prestigious TV and radio shows (Channel 4, Late Show with David Letterman, BBC Radio etc.) and on the major stages across the world, from Japan, through Europe, to the United States (both as headliner and supporting band with Snow Patrol and Glasvegas). The splendid reviews of their subsequent LP entitled Ritual (2011) only boosted their international status and enabled them to play at the Wembley Arena, with no ticket left unsold.
