Every Thursday in July at 7:30 pm, the city's parish church will once again resound with organ music. The series opens 2 July with Agnieszka Tarnawska, a graduate of the Poznań Music Academy who has also completed further studies in Lübeck and Hamburg. Her programme will feature works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy and Feliks Nowowiejski.The second concert, on 9 July, features Michał Duźniak, a graduate of the Katowice Music Academy, where he currently serves as a lecturer. His recital will include works by Gustav Adolf Merkel, Moritz Brosig and August Gottfried Ritter. Rudolf Innig, who appears in the third concert of the series (16 July), is the world's only organist to have recorded the complete organ works of Feliks Nowowiejski. Appropriately, his programme features music by Nowowiejski, alongside compositions by Johannes Brahms and Anton Bruckner. The following concert, on 23 July, features Szymon Czapik, who is currently pursuing a master's degree at the Kraków Music Academy. His programme brings works by Johann Ludwig Krebs, Josef Gabriel Rheinberger and Felix Borowski, among others. The July series is set to conclude on 30 July with Ennio Cominetti, the acclaimed Italian organist, composer, and choral and orchestral conductor. His recital features works by Marco Enrico Bossi, Louis-James Lefébure-Wély, Filippo Capocci, Théodore Dubois, and more.
