The 33rd edition of Brittany Days will be held under the theme of "memory that unites."
The event will begin with an exhibition of photographs by Yvonne Kerdudo (November 12, 6:00 PM). For nearly 50 years during the first half of the 20th century, Kerdudo traveled by bicycle to capture images of Brittany and its inhabitants. The exhibition serves as a valuable historical record, showcasing not only diverse social and professional groups and mementos of significant life events, but also offering a behind-the-scenes look at the work of the photographer known as "Madame Yvonne."
Following this, the organizers invite you to two lectures by the prominent French historian Pascal Ory: "Key Sites of Memory in Brittany" (November 16)-exploring locations significant to the region's history, both real and fictional-and "Secrets of Upper Brittany" (November 17), which will uncover the fascinating cultural heritage of the eastern part of the region.
On November 19, there will be a workshop on Breton music, and on Saturday, November 21, at 2:00 PM, the Retro Dance Studio will host a Breton dance workshop for beginners-everyone is welcome to attend (cost: 20 PLN; registration: antonina@dombretanii.org.pl).
Brittany Days will conclude on Sunday, November 22, with a concert by the trio Le Net / Lorho-Pasco / Droual, followed by a traditional Breton fest-noz (dance party). It will be a wonderful opportunity to learn and practice Breton dances, accompanied by exceptional musicians.
