The Bat is an absolute blockbuster as far as operettas go - the lies and schemes of aristocratic high society and wealthy middle class provoke a series of entertaining situations and errors. In this world of operetta protagonists, champagne, waltzes, polkas, and ladies' refined toilettes abound.
