LLovage is not only an aphrodisiac from the umbelliferous family, a green-leafed and aromatic herb; it also stands for the most impossible electronic duo with double bass and drums. Carefully weighing the proportions, as if preparing a herbal concoction, Olo Walicki and Jacek Prościński arrived at a formula of original, electro-acoustic organism. In real time, they introduce the live electronic layer whilst performing the classic parts of bass and drums, so at times they do sound like a quintet or sextet. The finely woven compositions and the spectacular arranged passages are topped off with a range of original sound samples, featuring e.g. the soprano Kira Boreczko-Dal and Mikołaj Trzaska on reed instruments.

The structure of pieces on their album leaves quite a leeway for improvisation and free interpretation of the compositions. Still, the greatest strength of the duo is in their exceptional, mutual flow of energy that happens on stage; it is not without a reason that they declared LLovage to each other at first sight!
LLovage first LP (vinyl/CD) was released with Gusstaff Records in October 2019, and premiered live on October 27th at the Jazz Jantar Festival in Gdańsk.
