SPACE OF OPEN ACTION - "Carmina Burana"

2019-10-24 ( Thursday )
CK Zamek (ZAMEK Culture Centre in Poznań), Sala Wielka (Grand Hall), ul. Święty Marcin 80/82, Poznań

Carmina Burana is the name of a 13th-century collection of songs about feasts and carnal pleasures. In 1937, composer Carl Orff used some of the songs to compose a stage cantata, which made it into the canon of the greatest works of classical music.
Carmina Burana by Space of Open Action is a show performed by persons with disabilities, for the most part intellectual ones. The plot is set in antiquity and the Middle Ages, drawing on pagan beliefs and customs. On October 24th, audience at CK ZAMEK's Grand Hall  will see the first part of the performance, dedicated to the human bond with nature and conflicts arising at the juncture of nature and civilization.
