On February 8, 1909, an avalanche at Mały Kościelec in the Tatras interrupted the life and great artistic development of one of the greatest Polish composers - Mieczysław Karłowicz. 110 years after this tragic event, the Chamber Orchestra will perform Serenade for string orchestra. Klaudiusz Baran, a great accordionist, the rector of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, will perform the work of Marcin Błażewicz. The program also includes the premiere of a composition by a Poznań composer, Alina Kubik, and the fiery Romanian folk dances of Béla Bartók.
