Salon Muzyczny Feliksa Nowowiejskiego (Feliks Nowowiejski Music Salon)
Description
The Feliks Nowowiejski Music Salon and Museum is located on the ground floor of the composer's historic home on Aleje Wielkopolskie 11 dubbed "The Villa Among Roses". Its interiors have retained the decor, furniture and musical instruments from the Interwar Period as well as numerous memorabilia from the life and work of Feliks Nowowiejski, the composer of the celebrated oratorio "Quo Vadis?".
The Music Salon is engaged in diverse cultural activities ranging from exhibition to education, with particular emphasis on music. It is the site of regular concerts, artistic workshops for children, classes at the museum, music courses, as well as exhibitions devoted to its patron. A special attraction are lectures and piano and organ performances by the composer's granddaughter.
The Salon is run by Feliks Nowowiejski Society with financial contributions from the city of Poznań.
